Cake made from ripe bananas with no added sugar.
Ingredients
Method
- 1.Mash the bananas into a puree with a fork.
- 2.Add the eggs and mix with a mixer.
- 3.Sift the flour and baking powder and fold into the dough until no lumps remain. Be careful at this stage, as mixing too much or at a high speed will prevent the cake from rising and leave the inside too moist. For this, attach the dough hooks to the mixer and mix on the lowest speed.
- 4.Chop the chocolate, add it to the mixture, and gently fold with a spatula.
- 5.Pour the batter into a baking pan lined with parchment paper (or very lightly greased).
- 6.Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for about 35 minutes. If a toothpick inserted comes out clean, it is ready.
Notes
- The diameter of the baking pan should be 26 cm.
- Do not open the oven door while the cake is baking.
- After the cake is baked, turn off the oven and leave the door open by 2-3 cm for 10-15 minutes so the cake cools slowly; otherwise, it may deflate.
- The inside of the cake may be slightly moist and dark, which is normal for banana cake.
