Ingredients
Method
- 1.Wash the strawberries in cold water without removing the stems so they don't absorb excess water. Remove the stems after washing.
- 2.Layer the strawberries and sugar in a pot and wait for them to release their juices.
- 3.Place the pot on the stove: cook over low heat first, and once the sugar has completely dissolved, increase to high heat.
- 4.After it boils for a while, add the lemon juice.
- 5.Once the jam is ready, shake the pot so the foam gathers in the center, and remove the foam using a paper towel.
Notes
- Try to choose firm strawberries.
- Do not add water, as strawberries are very juicy.
- Do not stir the jam while cooking.
- Choose a slightly larger pot so the jam doesn't boil over.
- Do not skim the foam while cooking, as you will also remove the jam's syrup and sugar. The foam should be removed at the very end.
- To check if the jam is ready, drop a little onto a paper towel; if the drop doesn't fully absorb and stays on the surface, the jam is ready.
